He runs his seasonal FEC with his wife, his son and five staff. He has been in the Amusement Industry for twenty five years.

A member of BACTA for 20 years, he has served as an officer for six and is currently National President.

He lists his hobbies as his grandchildren, National Hunt horse racing and was a keen cricketer, a member of MCC and Cross Arrows cricket clubs, although only as a spectator these days. A local councillor, he takes an interest in local issues, particularly those involving tourism.

The advent of Space Invaders, in the late seventies, proved to be very successful for Steve and the subsequent rapid expansion of this aspect of the business led to the continued growth of the operation, so much so that Essex Leisure is now one of the largest operators in the South East of England.

Steve joined BACTA 30 years ago and has always been an active member. He has sat on National Council for the last 12 years and is currently BACTA's Vice President.

At home, Steve is an enthusiastic ornithologist and keeps Ornamental Pheasants and quail. He also has a large collection of Koi Carp in his pond as well as owning several dogs.

Steve is a very keen golfer and as well as playing for his own enjoyment, he has regularly organised several golf days for the benefits of various charitable organisations. In addition to this, he loves to ski and tries his best to participate whenever conditions and business allow.
